ABOUT THE ROLE

​

The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the business. This is through the coordination of day to day activities such as answering and directing calls, administrative assistance and ensuring the office is well presented. Relevant experience in a similar client facing role is desirable

​

We are seeking an experienced administration officer who with excellent customer service and communication skills skills who is professional and caring. This person would be hired on a casual basis for a Friday shift from approximately 8.45am - 5pm (negotiable). This person would also be required to cover for our current administrative officer two weeks per year for annual leave. This position is paid under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award [MA000027] - Support Services Employees - Casual - Level 4.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF OUR ADMIN STAFF

​

The role would involve the following tasks:

​

  • ·            Greeting visitors and clients of the business

  • ·            Handling and directing all inbound calls

  • ·            Front desk reception duties

  • ·            Handling of incoming mail and preparation of mail to send, including email

  • ·            Processing simple client requests as required

  • ·            Booking couriers, building maintenance, coordinating deliveries

  • ·            Maintaining appearance of front office and kitchen area

  • ·            Other ad hoc administration as required

 

The above list is not exhaustive and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face.    

  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.

  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.

  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.

  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Personal attributes: Professional approach (essential), Confident manner (essential), Positive approach to change (essential)

NDIS Support Workers

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking to grow our Head On Health family and seeking experienced support workers who are active, energetic, enthusiastic, professional and looking to join a fun, caring and supportive team on a casual or permanent part time basis.

​

As a Head On Health Support Worker, you will be required to support NDIS participants with a range of needs to reach their individual goals through meaningful and fun activities in their home and out in the community.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF OUR SUPPORT CREW

​

  • Treat everyone fairly, respectfully and with compassion and empathy

  • Communicate professionally with NDIS clients and family members of those who you work with

  • Be adaptable and a problem solver and able to think on your feet

  • Assist our clients to grow their skills and abilities to perform tasks

  • Provide support and assist with the development to maintain independence and safety

  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, health and general wellbeing

  • Discuss and implement behavioural support plans

  • Understand your clients ever evolving needs and goals

  • Implement routines and structures as set out by our Head On Health team

  • Be required on occasion to work outside business hours such as early mornings, evenings, nights or weekend work, including public holidays

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Fit, active enthusiastic and energetic

  • Experience in managing behaviours of concern

  • Understanding of restrictive practice policies

  • An understanding of mental health and disability is desirable

  • The ability to develop a positive relationship with the participant

  • Excellent communication skills

  • The ability to work with children and/or adults with disabilities

  • Experience with psychosocial and complex and challenging behaviours

  • Able to work in a fast paced environment

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current Drivers Licence

  • Blue card

  • Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate

  • First Aid Certificate

  • NDIS ‘New Worker Induction Module’

  • Cert III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability (or equivalent) is desirable
